As part of their iconic Sport Collection, the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Chronograph delivers a luxurious aesthetic inclusive of a 43.5mm by 16.1mm stainless steel exterior, a 100 metre water resistant screw in crown, transparent case back and dual curved sapphire crystal glass, a material renowned for its scratch resistance and ultra-legible anti-reflective coating.
Housed within the tough exterior of the Grand Spring Drive Chronograph GMT watch is the Calibre 9R86 Spring Drive movement, an in-house automatic movement that combines the motive force of a mainspring with the high precision of a quartz watch. Alongside a red-tipped GMT hand, a power reserve indicator and small seconds dial, the Spring Drive mechanism provides exceptional chronograph complication including a glide motion blue steel chronograph seconds hand and a unique ready/start button with a half press shutter. This ensures the most precise possible operation of the 30 minutes and 12 hours counters. The Calibre 9R86 also delivers a healthy power reserve of 72 hours and an accuracy of -/+ 1 second per day.
