More than just a pretty face, this Oris Big Crown ProPilot Calibre 111 watch is equipped with Oris’ in-house hand winding movement Calibre 111, an innovation that follows the launch of the Calibre 110 watch which was developed especially for the brand’s 110th birthday. The exquisite Swiss made movement equips the watch with hour and minute hands, a subsidiary seconds dial at 9 o clock, a date window and an unbelievable 10 day power reserve displayed beautifully on a large non-linear dial at 3 o clock.
The sophisticated aviation inspired design of this Oris Big Crown ProPilot Calibre 111 watch comes in the form of a 44mm stainless steel case and a coin edged bezel designed after jet engine turbines, while the clear dial and bold hands are reminiscent of an aircraft dashboard. Housed beneath scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, the striking blue dial is decorated with large numerals and propeller styled centre hands coated in Superluminova for easy legibility. For one final touch of elegance, this Oris Big Crown ProPilot watch is fitted with a black textile strap and stainless steel folding buckle.
